A.J. Green will not play vs. Louisiana-Lafayette

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver A.J. Green will not play today against Louisiana-Lafayette due to the pending NCAA investigation, multiple sources are reporting.

The University of Georgia released a statement this morning stating A.J. Green will miss today’s game “pursuant to UGA Athletic Association policy and pending a ruling from the NCAA clarifying his status.”

The NCAA notified Georgia on July 21 that it planned to conduct an inquiry and wanted to interview one player. That player was A.J. Green, and the inquiry was to determine if Green received any extra benefits by attending an agent party in the Miami area.

It would have been nice for the NCAA to issue a ruling on Green. They’ve had plenty of time to investigate one player. They somehow found the time to notify Saint Nick and Alabama that Marcell Dareus is ineligible for their first two games.

  • Isn't it odd that Alabama player and South Carolina players were all cleared to play in their first game, but A.J. Green was not.

  • Georgia fans call the NCAA or fax them a message. Let them know your total disgust with this Gestapo tactics! If AJ did something prove it right now!!!!
