Georgia Rebounds With 98-68 Win Over North Carolina A&T

SicEmDawgs.com

Freshman Trey Thompkins scored 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the North Carolina A&T Aggies 98-68 on Sunday. The Dawgs desperately needed this victory after losing at home last week to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and barely escaping with a win over Wofford.

Senior Corey Butler added a career-high 19 points, Jeremy Price scored 15, Dustin Ware scored 11 and Travis Leslie added 10 points for the Dawgs. The Bulldogs tied their season high in scoring (98). They scored 98 on Mississippi Valley earlier in the season.

The offensive barrage by the Bulldogs was sorely needed. All season long the Dawgs have been plagued by poor shooting and long scoring droughts. But in Sunday’s game, Georgia was 35-of-66 (53%) from the field and made 17 3-pointers.

The Hoop Dawgs play their next game on Wednesday, Dec.31 in Athens against Kennesaw State at 4:00 p.m. The game will be televised by CSS.
