Bulldogs Fall To Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 80-79 In Overtime

SicEmDawgs.com

After beating Wofford on a last second shot in overtime on Saturday, the Bulldogs followed up that lackluster performance with another poor game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. But this time Georgia was saddled with the loss. Kevin Palmer hit a 30-foot 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Islanders (4-4) an 80-79 upset win over the home Bulldogs.

With the loss, Georgia falls to 7-4 overall and the heat on head coach Dennis Felton rises. Two bad games in a row against inferior non-conference opponents will do that. Especially a loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Does anyone think that Dennis Felton can turn this program into a consistent winner? He has done a good job cleaning up the program against major obstacles. And he miraculously won the 2008 SEC Tournament. But several inconsistencies remain in his coaching, namely his offensive style and his tendency to dismiss too many kids from the team.

What do you think? Can Dennis Felton take this program to the next level? Or will Damon Evans have to make his first major hire of his tenure?
