2012 Defensive Tackle John Atkins commits to Georgia

Georgia has received their 13th commitment for the 2012 recruiting class, this one from Thomson, Georgia defensive tackle John Atkins.

Atkins (6-4, 300, 5.16) committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and others.

Rivals.com rates Atkins as a 3-star recruit, the no. 42 defensive tackle and no. 47 in their Georgia Preseason Top 75. Scout.com also rates Atkins a 3-star recruit and the no. 44 defensive tackle in the country.
