Earnest Greene, Drew Bobo named to 2026 Outland Trophy Watch List
Georgia football offensive tackle Earnest Greene and center Drew Bobo have each been named to the 2026 Outland Trophy Watch List, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) announced Tuesday.
The Outland Trophy is awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman as voted by the FWAA.
Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas Tech each have three players on the Outland Trophy Watch List. Georgia is one of 13 schools with two representatives on the list.
The Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC each have 14 players on the list. They are followed by the ACC with 10, three each from the American, Mountain West, Pac-12, and Sun Belt, two each in the MAC and Independents, and one from Conference USA.
Outland Trophy semifinalists will be announced on November 18, followed by the three finalists on November 24. The winner of the 81st Outland Trophy will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN in December. The official presentation to the winner will be made in Omaha, Neb., at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner on Wednesday, January 27, 2027.
Earnest Greene, III, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound redshirt senior, hails from Los Angeles, Calif. Greene played and started in nine games last season.
Drew Bobo, a 6-foot-5, 305-pound redshirt senior out of Athens, Ga., started on the offensive line in 112 games in 2025. Both Bobo and Greene helped lead the UGA offense to 32.1 points per game, 182.1 rushing yards per game, and 220.3 passing yards per game.
The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against the Tennessee State Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 3:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+.
