Georgia football long snapper Beau Gardner has been named a finalist for the 2025 Patrick Mannelly Award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission has announced.

The award is named after Patrick Mannelly, who is widely regarded as the best long snapper in the modern NFL era. It’s given annually to the nation’s best long snapper in college football.

Gardner is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound graduate student from San Francisco, Calif. He graduated from UCLA last year and transferred to UGA prior to the start of the 2024 season.

Gardner has helped placekicker Peyton Woodring connect on 15 of his 16 field goal attempts, including three from 50+yards, and all 46 of his point-after-attempts. He has also snapped to Georgia punter Brett Thorson, helping him to a 45.2 yard average (43.2 net).

Georgia’s next contest is the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 6 against the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The game will be televised by ABC at 4:00pm ET (Buy Tickets).
