Honore, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound receiver, becomes the first pledge in the Bulldogs’ 2027 class. Despite his youth, Honore has already drawn national attention thanks to his polished route running, reliable hands, and production at one of the top high school football programs in the country. A long list of suitors, including Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas, had Honore firmly on their radar; however, it was Kirby Smart’s program that ultimately won out.
Georgia’s track record of developing wide receivers and playing on college football’s biggest stages was undoubtedly a significant factor in Honore’s decision. But perhaps just as influential was the presence of Jared Curtis, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class who committed to the Dawgs earlier this year. With a quarterback of Curtis’s caliber in the pipeline, Honore can envision a prolific connection forming in Athens. Also, current Georgia RB1 Nate Frazier is a Mater Dei alum and likely had a hand in singing Georgia’s praises to his fellow West Coast standout.
By becoming Georgia’s first 2027 commit, Honore now takes on a foundational role in shaping the future of the class. Recruits of his caliber often serve as magnets for other top prospects, and Honore has already expressed interest in helping bring more elite talent to Athens. His early commitment sends a message that Georgia is wasting no time in establishing momentum for what could become another top-tier recruiting class.
With one of the top receivers on the West Coast now in the fold, Georgia has made a bold statement to start its 2027 cycle. Honore’s commitment continues the Bulldogs’ national reach. It reinforces the idea that under Kirby Smart, Georgia remains a premier destination for blue-chip talent, no matter how early the recruiting battle begins.
