Time, TV set for Georgia-Auburn football game on October 5

The UGA football game at home against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, October 5 will be televised by ABC at 3:30pm ET, the SEC has announced.

The Bulldogs and Tigers met last season at Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., with the Bulldogs coming out with a win, 27-20. Georgia has won seven-consecutive games against Auburn and claimed ten of their last 11 meetings. The Bulldogs currently hold an eight-game lead in the overall series, 64-56-8.

Georgia and Auburn first met on the gridiron in 1892 in a matchup that is dubbed the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. The game has been played every season from 1944 through 2023.

The game against Auburn will mark Georgia’s third appearance on ABC this season following their contests against Clemson in Atlanta and road game at Kentucky. The Bulldogs have also appeared on SECN+/ESPN+ (Tennessee Tech) once during the 2024 campaign.

Second-ranked Georgia is scheduled to visit the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend and ABC will televise the contest at 7:30pm ET (Buy Tickets). All games on ABC are also simulcast via ESPN+.

Three additional kickoff times and television for UGA games later in the season have already been announced, including the Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday, Nov. 2. That contest is set for 3:30pm ET on ABC.

Georgia’s home game against UMass on Nov. 23 is set for 12:45pm ET on the SEC Network, while its home game against in-state rival Georgia Tech on Black Friday (Nov. 29) is set for 7:30pm ET on ABC.

Contests against Mississippi State at home on Oct. 12, at Texas on Oct. 19, at Ole Miss on Nov. 9, and at home vs. Tennessee on Nov. 16 have each been designated as Flex games by the SEC. Those four contests will kickoff between 3:30pm and 4:30pm ET or between 6:00pm and 8:00pm ET, with exact details announced 6-12 days prior to the date of the game.
