The Ray Guy Award is an annual award presented to the nation’s top punter in college football. Camarda is one of 19 candidates for the award this season.
The list of 19 nominees, which will likely expand later, will be narrowed down to ten semifinalists in November, followed by the announcement of three finalists later that month.
The 2020 Ray Guy Award winner will be announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards live on ESPN.
Jake Camarda, who hails from Norcross, Ga., has a career-long punt of 67 yards (vs. Auburn, 2019). In 2019, he punted 61 times for 2,857 yards (46.8 yards per punt) and had 21 punts of 50 yards or more.
The Georgia Bulldogs are currently scheduled to open the 2020 season on Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day) against the Virginia Cavaliers in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
