Jarvis Hayes Jr., a 2027 shooting guard out of Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Ga., has committed to Georgia basketball, according to a report from Rivals.

At 6-foot-5, 160 pounds, Hayes Jr. is listed as a four-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 6 shooting guard nationally and the No. 34 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Jarvis Hayes Jr. is the son of Jarvis Hayes Sr., who starred for the Hoop Dawgs from 2001 through 2003. Hayes Sr., as well as his brother Jonas, joined Mike White’s staff in Athens earlier this year.

“Their offense is wide-open,” Hayes Jr. told Rivals in July. “They play fast. They play in transition, and they play defense. They set screens, move the ball, move without the ball. Everything is good with them and how they play with my play style.”

Jarvis Hayes Jr. is the second prep commitment for head coach Mike White and Georgia for the class of 2027, joining Justin Wise. Hayes committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Florida State, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Missouri, and others.

With just two commitments, Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class is now ranked 6th overall in the Rivals 2027 Industry Team Rankings.
