Georgia football quarterback Gunner Stockton and running back Nate Frazier have both been named to the 2026 Maxwell Award Watch List, the Maxwell Football Club has announced.
The Maxwell Award, named after Robert W. “Tiny” Maxwell, is an annual award given to the college football player of the year.

Ryan Coleman-Williams (Alabama), Byrum Brown (Auburn), Jeremiah Cobb (Auburn), Jadan Baugh (Florida), Sam Leavitt (LSU), Ahmad Hardy (Missouri), Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), John Mateer (Oklahoma), LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina), DeSean Bishop (Tennessee), Arch Manning (Texas), Cam Coleman (Texas), Marcel Reed (Texas A&M), and Mario Craver (Texas A&M).
The winner of the 2026 Maxwell Award will be announced live on ESPN at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show in December.

The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against the Tennessee State Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 3:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+.
