Georgia football offensive lineman Drew Bobo has been named to the 2026 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List, The Lombardi Award and Rotary Club of Houston has announced.
The Rotary Lombardi Award is a coveted award given annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman “…who exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Vince Lombardi in addition to outstanding performance and ability.”
To be considered for the Lombardi Award, players must be an NCAA FBS College Football team member and meet the following qualifications:
- Be a down Lineman, end to end, either on offense or defense, setting up no further than ten (10) yards to the left or right of the ball at the time of the snap.
- Be a Linebacker on defense, setting up no further than five (5) yards deep from the line of scrimmage.
- Must not come out of the offensive backfield and set up on the line of scrimmage as a Blocker or a Receiver or listed in the program as an Offensive Back or Receiver.
- Be eligible to participate in the current season.
Other SEC football players named to the 2026 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List include Xavier Atkins (LB; Auburn), Trey’Dez Green (TE; LSU), Jordan Seaton (OT; LSU), Princewill Umanmielen (DE; LSU), Whit Weeks (LB; LSU), Cayden Green (OT; Missouri), David Stone (DT; Oklahoma), Will Echoles (DT; Ole Miss), Dylan Stewart (EDGE; South Carolina), Wendell Moe Jr. (OG; Tennessee), Rasheem Biles (LB; Texas), Trevor Goosby (OT; Texas), Colin Simmons (Edge; Texas), DJ Hicks (DT; Texas A&M), and Anto Saka (DE; Texas A&M).
Semifinalists for the 2026 Lombardi Award will be announced Tuesday, Nov. 3, followed by the announcement of the four finalists Tuesday, Nov. 17. The winner of the 2026 Lombardi Award will be revealed live on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Drew Bobo (6-5, 305) is the son of former Georgia quarterback and current Bulldog offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. Last season as a junior, Bobo played started in 11 games, helping the offense to 32.1 points per game, 182.1 rushing yards per game, and 220.3 passing yards per game.
The back-to-back SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 against the Tennessee State Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will kickoff at 3:00pm ET and will be a streaming-only event on SEC Network+.
