Marcellus Young Casario, a three-star edge defender, has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2027.
Young Casario, who plays for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Ga., chose the Bulldogs over offers from Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Miami, Virginia Tech, and several other top schools.
At 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, Young Casario, who hails from Canada, is listed as a three-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 54 edge defender nationally and the No. 521 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
Young Casario was evaluated by Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott after he began playing in Rabun Gap.
“I love the connection I have with him as a coach,” Young Casario told Rivals recently. “I like the way he has a personal connection with all of his guys. It’s business, but you can tell he cares deeply. The type of coach to come to your future wedding. His resume is extremely good. Staying at Georgia for so long, most likely with other job opportunities, is a testament to his loyalty to what they have built.”
Marcellus Young Casario is the 16th commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 class and second today following the commitment of Jamir Dean. Georgia’s class is currently ranked No. 13 in the Rivals 2027 Industry Team Rankings.
