Georgia-Mississippi State Super Regional begins Saturday in Athens

The Georgia Bulldogs, the No. 3 national seed, will host the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a Super Regional beginning on Saturday, June 6, 2026, the school has announced.

Game one of the Georgia-Mississippi State Super Regional, which is a best-of-three series, is scheduled for 11:00am ET at Foley Field in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised live by ESPN.

The second game of the series is slated for Sunday, June 7 at Foley Field and it will also be televised live by ESPN at noon ET. If a third game is necessary, it will be played on Monday, June 8 at time to be announced.

Georgia last hosted a Super Regional in 2024 when it dropped a three-game series against NC State, 2-1.

Under third year head coach Wes Johnson, the Diamond Dawgs finished the 2026 regular-season 43-12 overall and 23-7 in SEC action. The Bulldogs claimed the regular-season championship and also won the SEC Baseball Tournament Championship.
