Colton Nussmeier, a four-star quarterback, has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2027.

Nussmeier, who plays for Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, chose the Bulldogs over Arkansas, Kentucky, UCLA., and several other top schools.

Nussmeier is the son of college and NFL offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, and brother of former LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who played for the Tigers from 2021 through 2025.

At 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Nussmeier is listed as a four-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 16 quarterback nationally and the No. 197 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

“Georgia has always been in my recruitment,” Nussmeier told Rivals last month. “They’ve been there since Day 1. I like them a lot, I know what they do with coach (Mike) Bobo and coach (Brandon) Streeter.”

Colton Nussmeier is the 13th commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 class and first quarterback. Georgia’s class is now ranked No. 13 in the Rivals 2027 Industry Team Rankings.
