Hakeem Weems, a 2026 forward out of IMG Academy, has committed to Georgia basketball, according to a report from League Ready.

Weems (6-10, 170) is a native of Marietta, Ga., and played his senior season of high school basketball at Montverde Academy before moving on to IMG Academy as a post-graduate. Weems is listed as the No. 48 power forward and No. 290 overall prospect in the 2026 class, per the Rivals Industry Ranking.

“Four-Star PF Hakeem Weems is a physical presence with good length and athletic pop,” per Rivals basketball analyst Jamie Shaw. “He has touch and productive flashes. Next step for Weems is finding consistency when it comes to decisions and affecting the game. He has all of the requisite tools with a game that is coming along with high upside.”

Weems is the fourth prep commitment for head coach Mike White and Georgia, and follows the commitment of Donovan Williams Jr. on Tuesday. Also committed to the Bulldogs are Nigerian forward David Ugonna Ike and JUCO guard Kemauri “Kemo” Millender, the younger brother of current Bulldog Marcus “Smurf” Millender.

Georgia has also signed four players out of the NCAA Transfer Portal: forward James Scott (Ole Miss), guard Freddie Dilione IV (Penn State), forward Brady Dunlap (Saint Louis), and center Andrew Osasuyi (St. Bonaventure).

Blue Cain, Kanon Catchings, Markel Jennings, Marcus “Smurf” Millender, Kareem Stagg, and Brandon Klatsky are also set to return to play for the Bulldogs next season.
