Georgia adds West Georgia to 2026-27 basketball schedule

The Georgia Bulldogs have added the West Georgia Wolves to their 2026-27 basketball schedule, SicEmDawgs.com has confirmed.

Georgia will host West Georgia on Wednesday, December 16, 2026 at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga. The Bulldogs will pay the Wolves a $95,000 guarantee, according to a copy of the contract obtained from the University of West Georgia via an open records request.

The 2026 Georgia-West Georgia game will mark the second meeting between the two schools on the hardcourt. The Bulldogs and Wolves first met last season in Athens, with Georgia coming out on top, 103-74.

West Georgia is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference in Division I. The Wolves finished the 2025-26 season 15-17 overall and 8-11 in conference play, which was their second season at the Division I level.

In other non-conference action this fall, Georgia is scheduled to visit the North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday, November 13 and will also travel to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a date to be announced.

Additionally, the Bulldogs will host the North Florida Ospreys at Stegeman Coliseum on Tuesday, December 29.

The 2026-27 season will be the fifth for Georgia under head coach Mike White. The Bulldogs finished the 2025-26 season 22-10 overall (10-8 SEC) and played in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season.
