Ty Johnson, a three-star offensive lineman, has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2027.

Johnson, who plays for Lucy Beckham High School in Mount Pleasant, S.C., chose the Bulldogs over Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, South Carolina, and others.

At 6-foot-6, 280 pounds, Johnson is a three-star prospect across major recruiting services, ranking as the No. 40 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 487 overall recruit according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

“I really like the development part at Georgia,” Johnson told Rivals last month. “Monroe Freeling is from about 10 miles from where I live. Georgia took his ability and frame and now he’ll probably be a first-round draft pick. I like how they develop offensive linemen, and there’s a real bond in that room.”

Ty Johnson is the seventh commitment for the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 class. He joins five-star running back Kemon Spell, four-star defensive backs Donte Wright and Jerry Outhouse Jr., four-star offensive linemen Kelsey Adams and Noah Parker, and three-star wide receiver Aden Starling.
