STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Georgia Bulldogs (22-9, 10-8) defeated Mississippi State (13-18, 5-13) 102-96 on Saturday afternoon at Humphrey Coliseum. Sophomore Kanon Catchings led Georgia with 23 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the three-point line.

• Georgia’s win today notched the most regular-season wins in program history (22). This brings the Bulldogs closer to their program record of 24 total wins in a single season. Today also evened the all-time series with Mississippi State at 60-60.
• The Bulldogs broke the school record for total points with 2,802. The previous record was 2,764.
• A second chance three-point jumper at the 17:55 mark gave junior Blue Cain his 1,000th career point. He joins Marcus “Smurf” Millender, who achieved this milestone on Jan. 24 against Texas.
• Millender joined Catchings in the double figures with 18 points. Jeremiah Wilkinson and Cain also added 15 apiece, while Somto Cyril chipped in 10.
• After seven lead changes, Catchings sank back-to-back three-pointers at the 15:55 mark to take the lead. Georgia maintained it for the rest of the game, widening the margin to 15 points at the 5:13 mark.
• Georgia outscored Mississippi State in assists (19-16), steals (11-8), and bench points (41-27).
• This is the eighth time this season Georgia has reached 100 points in a game, surpassing the previous school record of five times in 1990-1991.
