Georgia football junior quarterback Gunner Stockton has been named to the 2025 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 25, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, Inc., has announced.
The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award is an annual award given to the “…top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.” Stockton is one of 25 quarterbacks in contention for the award, which is based on player performance on and off the field.
The 2025 Golden Arm Award Top 25 quarterbacks have distinguished themselves as the nation’s elite leaders under center, combining high-level production with character and resilience. From clutch performances in marquee matchups to steady leadership in the locker room, this group exemplifies the values of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award—excellence on the field, integrity off it, and the ability to inspire those around them.

The winner of the 2025 Golden Arm Award will be presented with the trophy at the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award celebration at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland.
Gunner Stockton is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound junior from Tiger, Ga. Through six games this season, Stockton has completed 115-of-169 passes for 1,264 yards and six touchdowns. He has also rushed 48 times for 220 yards and six touchdowns.
The ninth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1 SEC) are next scheduled to host the fifth-ranked Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised by ABC at 3:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
