Georgia football junior quarterback Gunner Stockton has been named to the 2025 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 10, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, Inc., has announced.
The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award is an annual award given to the “…top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.” Stockton is one of 10 finalists for the award, which is based on player performance on and off the field.
Following the release of this season’s Top 25 list, these ten standout quarterbacks have continued to elevate their play, leading their teams with consistency, composure, and competitive spirit. Each represents the qualities that define the legacy of Johnny Unitas — integrity, teamwork, and perseverance.

“This group has shown tremendous growth and leadership throughout the season,” said John Unitas Jr., President of the Golden Arm Educational Foundation. “They’ve proven themselves as not only outstanding quarterbacks, but as true representatives of what the Golden Arm Award stands for — excellence on the field and character off it.”
The winner of the 2025 Golden Arm Award will be presented with the trophy at the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award celebration at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland.
Gunner Stockton is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound junior from Tiger, Ga. Through seven games this season, Stockton has completed 141-of-200 passes for 1,553 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also rushed 58 times for 279 yards and seven touchdowns.
The fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) are next scheduled to face the Florida Gators on Saturday, Nov. 1 at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The game will be televised by ABC at 3:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
