Georgia’s SEC football opponents for the 2026 through 2029 seasons have been set, according to a league announcement Tuesday. The SEC revealed the opponents on a special edition of SEC Now on ESPN2 and the SEC Network.

The 2026 season will be the first for the SEC with a nine conference game format. SEC teams will play nine conference members and three non-conference opponents each season. As it has been since 2016, one of those three non-conference opponents is required to be a power opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 or major independent (i.e. Notre Dame).

Each SEC team was assigned three permanent opponents, or rivals, that they will play each season. For Georgia, its permanent opponents are Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina. Next season, the Bulldogs will host Auburn and Florida (in Atlanta) and will travel to face the Gamecocks in Columbia.

According to the release, the SEC will revisit the assigned permanent opponents every four years to ensure competitive balance.

The remaining six opponents will rotate each season so that each SEC school plays every other team in the league in a four-year span. In 2026, Georgia will host Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma and will travel to face Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.

The complete SEC football schedule for the 2026 season will be announced in December, likely the week following the SEC Championship Game. Last year, the schedule was revealed on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
