Georgia drops in college football rankings following Alabama loss

The Georgia Bulldogs, who lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide 24-21 on Saturday, have dropped in the college football rankings for Week 6.

Georgia dropped seven spots to No. 12 in the AP Poll following the devastating loss to the Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs received 965 points in the AP Poll, which is 463 less points than they received in last week’s poll.

The Top 5 of the AP Poll is now (1) Ohio State, (2) Oregon, (3) Miami, (4), Ole Miss, and (5) Oklahoma.

In the Coaches Poll, the Bulldogs dropped seven spots to No. 10. For some reason, Georgia us ranked one spot higher than Alabama, which came in at No. 11 this week.

Georgia’s next game is on Saturday, Oct. 4 against the Kentucky Wildcats at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised by ABC and streamed via ESPN3 at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
