Delp, Luckie named to 2025 John Mackey Award Watch List

UGA football tight ends Oscar Delp and Lawson Luckie have both been named to the 2025 John Mackey Award Watch List, The Friends of John Mackey have announced.

The two Georgia Bulldogs join 46 other tight ends on the 2025 John Mackey list. The award is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.

Other SEC tight ends named to the 2025 John Mackey Award Watch List include Jose Cuevas (Alabama), Hayden Hansen (Florida), Bauer Sharp (LSU), Brett Norfleet (Missouri), Luke Hasz (Ole Miss), Daequan Wright (Ole Miss), Miles Kitselman (Tennessee), Jack Endries (Texas), and Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt).

The winner of the 2025 John Mackey Award will be announced on Friday, December 12 on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show live on ESPN.

Oscar Delp, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound senior, hails from Cumming, Ga. Last season, he played in all 14 games, starting 10 times, and totaled 21 catches for 248 yards and four touchdowns.

Lawson Luckie is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound junior from Norcross, Ga.. As a sophomore, he appeared in 14 contests and started seven times. Luckie finished the season with 348 yards on 24 receptions with three touchdowns.

The Georgia Bulldogs are set to open the 2025 season at home against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, Aug. 30. The game will be televised live by ESPN at 3:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
