Four-star defensive lineman Valdin Sone commits to Georgia

Valdin Sone, a four-star defensive lineman from Blue Ridge School in Dyke, Va., has committed to Georgia football for the class of 2026.
Sone announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday.

Sone (6-4, 320) committed to the Bulldogs over Florida, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. He also held offers from several top teams, including Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, and USC.
“I already had an offer from (Georgia) months ago. But, I did a camp at UGA and kind of got re-offered,” Sone told UGASports. “So, it’s a committable one, and I am blessed and excited.”
In the 247Sports Composite, Valdin Sone is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 20 defensive lineman, and the No. 150 overall recruit in the country for 2026.
Rivals.com also rates Valdin Sone as a four-star recruit, the No. 16 defensive lineman, and the No. 172 recruit.
With the addition of Valdin Sone, Georgia now has 30 commitments for the class of 2026. Georgia’s class is currently ranked No. 2 in the country by Rivals.com.
