Craig Dandridge commits to Georgia football

The Georgia Bulldogs continued their red-hot streak on the recruiting trail Thursday with the addition of Craig Dandridge, a four-star wide receiver in the 2026 class who announced his commitment via Hayes Fawcett of On3. Dandridge becomes the fourth major commitment of the week for Georgia, joining EDGE defender Khamari Brooks, defensive lineman Corey Howard, and running back Jae Lamar, who each committed earlier in the week. The surge of additions reflects the strong momentum Georgia has built heading into the summer as the Bulldogs continue stacking elite talent across both sides of the ball.

Dandridge’s pledge comes at a crucial time for Georgia’s wide receiver group. Earlier this week, the Bulldogs lost longtime commit Vance Spafford, who flipped to Miami in a move that raised eyebrows across the recruiting world. While Spafford’s departure created a temporary gap in Georgia’s receiver class, Dandridge helps immediately fill that void. A fluid route-runner with natural hands and an ability to stretch the field vertically, Dandridge gives Georgia a skilled in-state target who should fit well into the Bulldogs’ offensive system. He is expected to bring versatility and playmaking ability to a Georgia offense that continues to evolve in the passing game.
The addition of Dandridge also helps to maintain the balance and momentum of what is quickly becoming one of the most impressive 2026 recruiting classes in the nation. Kirby Smart and his staff have locked in four quality players at key positions in as many days, reinforcing the program’s ability to respond swiftly to setbacks and capitalize on opportunities. While most schools would struggle to recover after losing a top-rated wide receiver, Georgia not only rebounded but may have landed a more dynamic and scheme-ready option in Dandridge.
Recruiting battles are rarely linear, and Georgia’s ability to stay aggressive and adaptable is once again on display. Dandridge’s commitment helps steady the Bulldogs’ wide receiver haul and keeps Georgia at the center of the recruiting spotlight. As the week comes to a close, the message from Athens is clear: Georgia remains a powerhouse on the trail, and the 2026 class is only getting stronger.
