Graham Houston commits to Georgia football

Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class received a major boost with the addition of Graham Houston, a standout interior offensive lineman from Buford High School. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound prospect announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Wednesday, choosing UGA over fellow finalists Florida, Florida State, and Ole Miss.

Houston is widely regarded as one of the top interior line prospects in the country. According to On3, he ranks among the top 15 interior offensive linemen nationally and sits just inside the top 250 overall for the 2026 class. His pledge gives Georgia yet another in-state talent from a historically difficult program to recruit, as Buford has not been a consistent pipeline to Athens in years past. That tide began to turn when Georgia landed five-star safety KJ Bolden in the 2024 cycle, and Houston’s decision adds more momentum in that direction.

Key to Houston’s decision was the strong connection he developed with offensive line coach Stacy Searels and the Georgia staff. Houston previously stated that Searels consistently emphasized how much of a priority he was and made it clear that he fit the mold of what Georgia looks for up front. Houston also cited proximity to home and familiarity with the campus as important factors in his recruitment.

The Bulldogs had been a fixture in Houston’s recruitment throughout the process, hosting him multiple times and maintaining a strong relationship with him and his family. His physical tools, combined with his understanding of the game, make him a high-upside addition for a Georgia program that continues to reload along the offensive line each cycle.

With several upperclassmen on Georgia’s current roster likely to move on to the NFL before Houston arrives on campus, his commitment comes at a strategic time for roster continuity. As the 2026 class takes shape, Houston’s decision further establishes Kirby Smart’s continued dominance on the recruiting trail — especially within Georgia’s borders.
