The Georgia Bulldogs wrapped up their 2024-25 season earlier this month with a first round exit in the NCAA Tournament. But the end of the season also means the beginning of player movement into and out of the program.

Bulldog players departing Athens following the season include shooting guard De’Shayne Montgomery (Dayton), point guard Savo Drezgic (undecided), power forward RJ Godfrey (Clemson), and point guard Silas Demary Jr. (UConn).

Additionally, center Asa Newell declared for the NBA draft, while shooting guards Tyrin Lawrence and Dakota Leffew are out of eligibility.

To fill some of the new roster holes, Mike White has landed three players through the transfer portal this month, snagging BYU forward Kanon Catchings on Sunday, Wofford guard Justin Bailey on Friday, and California guard Jeremiah Wilkinson on April 3.

Those three transfers will join signees Jackson McVey (3-star center), Kareem Stagg (4-star center), and Jacob Wilkins (4-star small forward).

Six current Bulldogs are slated to return to the team for the 2025-26 season. That group includes shooting guard Blue Cain, shooting guard Jordyn Kee, small forward Dylan James, small forward Jaden Newell, power forward Justin Abson, and center Somto Cyril.

Barring any additional player exits, Mike White has three open scholarships remaining, and the NCAA transfer portal closes on April 22.
