One of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 class is nearing his decision. Jared Curtis, the 5-star signal caller from Nashville Christian School (TN), announced that he will commit to either Georgia or Oregon on May 5, 2025.

Curtis, who checks in at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, is known for his elite arm strength, pocket presence, and leadership. He was previously committed to Georgia from March to December of 2024, but reopened his recruitment late last year. Now, the Bulldogs are making a strong push to get him back in the fold, while Oregon is making a compelling case to secure his signature.

Kirby Smart and Georgia have remained relentless in their pursuit, emphasizing the program’s proven track record of competing for national titles and developing top-tier talent. Georgia’s staff has been working to rebuild trust and remind Curtis why he originally chose Athens in the first place.

Meanwhile, Dan Lanning and the Ducks are pitching a bold vision for the future. With former 5-star QB Dante Moore expected to lead the Oregon offense in the near term, the Ducks are selling Curtis on the opportunity to be Moore’s heir apparent and the next star in Eugene. Oregon’s high-octane offense and aggressive NIL approach have kept them squarely in contention.

Curtis has made multiple visits to both programs and has kept a close circle throughout the process. As one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the nation, his commitment will send shockwaves through the college football landscape.

The countdown is on—May 5 will reveal whether Curtis returns to the Dawgs or begins a new journey with the Ducks.
