USC transfers Zachariah Branch, Zion Branch commit to Georgia football

Zachariah Branch and Zion Branch, brothers from the University of Southern California (USC), will transfer to play for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, it was announced Sunday.

Zachariah Branch, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound wide receiver out of Las Vegas, Nevada, caught 78 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns last season. He has also rushed for 87 yards and another touchdown during his two seasons with the Trojans.

Branch was also a kickoff and punt returner at USC, recording 774 yards and two touchdowns during his freshman season.

Zion Branch, a 6-foot-2, 210 pound safety, is a year older than Zachariah. He played in all 12 games this season for the Trojans and recorded 19 tackles, three pass breakups, and one sack.

Earlier on Sunday, it was announced that quarterback Jaden Rashada and kick returner Anthony Evans have both entered the transfer portal.
