Jaden Harris, a safety from the University of Miami, will transfer to play for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, it was announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-0, 195-pound redshirt sophomore hails from Atlanta, Ga., where he played at Riverwood High School. Harris started at safety in all 13 games for the Hurricanes last season and finished with 40 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one interception.

As a redshirt freshman, Jaden Harris saw action in 10 games and made two starts, finishing with seven tackles and one half tackle for loss.

Harris was rated as a three-star prospect out of high school by both 247Sports and Rivals. The addition of Harris will help bolster the secondary in Athens next season following the departure of Malaki Starks to the NFL Draft.

Georgia is slated to open the 2025 season against the Marshall Thundering Herd at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025 (Buy Tickets).
