How to watch the Georgia-Notre Dame game: Sugar Bowl TV channel, streaming
The Georgia Bulldogs are set to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La.
The game was originally scheduled for New Year’s Day, but was postponed following a terror attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans that killed at least 15 people and left dozens of others injured.
The 2nd-seed Bulldogs (11-2) and 7th-seed Fighting Irish (12-1) will be featured on traditional television on Thursday, with the contest aired nationally via ESPN at 4:00pm ET. The game will also be available to stream. Sean McDonough will call the play-by-play, Greg McElroy will provide analysis, while Molly McGrath will report from the sidelines.
How can you watch the Georgia-Notre Dame game? Below are the methods to watch the game on ESPN and via online streaming.
ESPN
The Georgia at Notre Dame game will be available to watch live on ESPN beginning at 4:00pm ET. ESPN is broadcast by DirecTV on Channel 206 (HD) and 1206 (SD), DISH on Channel 140, and AT&T U-verse on Channel 602 (SD) and 1602 (HD). For other providers, such as your local cable company, check your local listings or a search engine.
In order to stream the game on ESPN, you will need to go to the WatchESPN website or the ESPN app on your device. After selecting the Georgia-Notre Dame game, you will be asked to login using your qualifying TV provider credentials mentioned above (if you are not already logged in).

ESPN will also present the Georgia-Notre Dame game with the Georgia radio broadcast via ESPN3.
ESPN+
Most college football games on ESPN this season were also available to stream via ESPN+, which is a separate, premium subscription service. The Allstate Sugar Bowl will not be available to view via ESPN+.
ESPN will also present a Command Center broadcast of the Georgia-Notre Dame game on ESPNU and a SkyCast of the game on ESPN3.
If Georgia defeats Notre Dame, the Bulldogs will advance to the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. The Bulldogs would play the Penn State Nittany Lions in that contest. The other semifinal is set, which will see Ohio State take on Texas in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.
