The Georgia-Georgia Tech football game in 2025 will be played on Black Friday (Friday, Nov. 28), it was announced during the ACC football schedule release show Monday evening.

It will mark the second-consecutive season that the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets have played their Clean, Old Fashioned Hate contest on Black Friday. Georgia defeated Georgia Tech in the 2024 matchup between the hedges in Athens, Ga., 44-42 in eight overtimes.

The kickoff time and TV will be announced later this Spring, but the game will likely kickoff in primetime. Last year, the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets met in primetime on ABC at 7:30pm ET.

It was previously announced that Georgia will face Georgia Tech next season at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

The Georgia Bulldogs have won seven consecutive contests over their in-state rival and now lead the overall series 72-39-5.

Georgia, ranked No. 5 in ESPN’s Way Too Early Top 25, is scheduled to open the 2025 season against the Marshall Thundering Herd at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Bulldogs host Austin Peay the following week on Sept. 6 before opening SEC action on the road on Sept. 13 against Tennessee.
