Connor Ferguson was previously committed to the Charlotte 49ers, but flipped his commitment to the Bulldogs.
“It was a difficult decision to decommit from Charlotte as it is a great program with great staff,” Ferguson said in a statement to WTOC. “Georgia is a phenomenal program with a great history as well. Georgia, is also a really great academic institution with an excellent engineering school and that was important to me. For me this opportunity was a better overall fit and one I couldn’t turn down.
Ferguson was among the nation’s top kickers last season and is ranked No. 7 by Kohl’s Kicking. He also held offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Murray State, Valdosta State, West Georgia, and Western Kentucky.
With the addition of Connor Ferguson, Georgia now has three commitments for the class of 2025. UGA signed 28 recruits during the Early Signing Period and its class is currently ranked No. 2 in the 247Sports Team Rankings.
