Malaki Starks named to 2024 FWAA All-America First Team

Georgia football defensive back Malaki Starks has been named to the 2024 Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America First Team, according to an announcement Tuesday.

Starks was named to the FWAA All-America First Team Defense and is the only Bulldog represented this season. Starks is now a two-time FWAA All-American.

Travis Hunter of Colorado, last week’s Heisman Trophy winner, was named to the First Team and repeats as the All-Purpose player from 2023.

The SEC Champion Bulldogs, who finished the regular-season 11-2 overall, are next scheduled to play in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La. (8:45pm ET, ESPN). Georgia will face the winner of the First Round matchup between Indiana and Notre Dame.
