Rasean Dinkins (6-1, 170) previously committed to Brent Key and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in June, but changed his mind and pledged to the Bulldogs. He had offers from several other schools, including Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and USC.
In the 247Sports Composite, Rasean Dinkins is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 38 safety, and the No. 422 overall recruit in the country for 2024. Rivals.com rates Rasean Dinkins as a three-star recruit, the No. 58 cornerback, and the No. 75 recruit from Georgia.
Dinkins visited UGA for the Mississippi State game and had this to day about Kirby Smart (via UGASports.com).
“The bond I have with him is like I have with no other coach. Like, he makes time to talk to all his recruits, make them feel like family,” Dinkins said. “It means a lot. There’s not too many coaches in college football that make time to talk to any players before the game because they’re usually too locked in on the game. He’s locked in on the game and making time to talk to the players, so that means a lot to me.”
With the addition of Dinkins, the Georgia Bulldogs now have 24 commitments for the class of 2025. UGA’s 2025 class is currently ranked third in the 247Sports Team Rankings, just behind Alabama and Ohio State.
