Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins named SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week
UGA football’s Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins has been named the SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week for Week 3 of the 2024 season, the SEC announced on Monday.
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was named SEC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week following his performance in Georgia’s 13-12 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, Ky. He recorded three tackles, including two tackles for loss, and one sack in the win.
Ingram-Dawkins, a 6-foot-5, 280-pound redshirt junior, hails from Gaffney, S.C. Last season, he played in eight games as a reserve defensive lineman and recorded eight tackles.
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins shares this week’s award with Jared Ivey from Ole Miss, who had six total tackles and two sacks in a road win against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Georgia will enjoy its first open date of the season this weekend. The following week on Saturday, Sept. 28, the Bulldogs travel to face the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and the game will be televised by ABC at 7:30pm ET (Buy Tickets).
