Georgia remains first in AP, Coaches polls after win over Clemson

The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated the Clemson Tigers 34-3 on Saturday, have remained first in the AP and Coaches polls for Week 2.

Georgia received 1,545 points in the AP Poll, which is 15 more than it received in the preseason poll. The Bulldogs gained 11 first-place votes and now have 57, with the remaining five votes going to the second-place Ohio State Buckeyes. Texas, Alabama, and Notre Dame round out the top five in the AP Poll.

In the Coaches Poll, the Bulldogs received 1,371 points, which is seven points more than last week. Georgia also gained five first-place votes and now has 51, with the other votes going to Ohio State (3) and Texas (1).

Clemson was ranked 14th on Saturday, but dropped to 25th in the AP Poll and 22nd in the Coaches Poll following the loss to Georgia.
