Kirby said it best – they were not prepared. My greatest concern is about the play calling of Mike Bobo. It was similar years ago. Play calling too predictive. Slow start against multiple teams the past two seasons shows that play calling is not the same as when Todd Monken was making the calls. Opponents do not just look at personnel, they also consider the play calling and Bobo’s play calling is not providing the type of confidence for the O that they and Beck need. Defense needs more time to gel and most quality teams come out of the gate ready to score. As the season rolls on the D will catch up as long as there are not major breakdowns.
