Beck, Woodring named Co-SEC Players of the Week following Clemson win
UGA football senior quarterback Carson Beck and sophomore placekicker Peyton Woodring have each been named Co-SEC Players of the Week, the SEC announced on Monday.
Beck, who hails from Jacksonville, Fla., was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to a 34-3 victory over the 14th-ranked Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Beck completed 23-of-33 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns.
Beck shared the honors with Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia.

- Added a 13-yard run to help the Bulldogs pile up 447 total yards and have no turnovers
Peyton Woodring, a native of Lafayette, La., was named Co-SEC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the victory over the Tigers.

- Opened the scoring with a 30-yard field goal in the first quarter
- Returned to drill a career-long 55 yarder to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 edge headed into halftime
- This marked the longest field goal for Georgia since All-American Rodrigo Blankenship connected on a 55 yarder versus Oklahoma in the 2018 Rose Bowl
- Also handled kickoffs for Georgia
Oklahoma placekicker Tyler Keltner was also named Co-SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.
