Two Bulldogs named to 2024 Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award Watch List
UGA football safety KJ Bolden and cornerback Ellis Robinson IV have both been named to the 2024 Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award Watch List, it was announced on Wednesday.

The Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, named in honor of Shaun Alexander, a former standout at the University of Alabama and with the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL, is presented to the College Freshman Player of the Year.
Past Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award winners include Trevor Lawrence (2018, Clemson), Kenneth Gainwell (2019, Memphis), Will Anderson Jr. (2020, Alabama), Brock Bowers (2021, Georgia), Drake Maye (2022, North Carolina), and Caleb Downs (2023, Alabama).
Finalists for the 7th annual Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award will be announced in December. The formal presentation of the award will be made in March of 2025.
KJ Bolden, who hails from Buford, Ga., was a 247sports.com composite five-star prospect and was ranked as the No. 11 prospect nationally, No. 1 safety prospect, and No. 2 prospect in Georgia
Ellis Robinson IV, who hails from New Haven, Conn., was a 247sports composite five-star prospect and was also ranked as the No. 3 prospect nationally, No. 1 cornerback prospect, and No. 2 prospect in Florida.
The Georgia Bulldogs are set to open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will be televised live by ABC at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
