Trevor Etienne named to 2024 Paul Hornung Award Watch List
UGA junior running back Trevor Etienne has been named to the 2024 Paul Hornung Award Watch List, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Thursday.
48 college football players nationwide were named to the list, six of whom hail from the SEC.
The Paul Hornung Award, named after football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung, is an annual award given to the most versatile player in college football by the Louisville Sports Commission. The winner will be presented the award at the annual Paul Hornung Award Banquet in March 2025.
Etienne, a native of Jennings, La., transferred to Georgia after playing two seasons with the Florida Gators. In those two seasons, Etienne rushed 249 times for 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns and also caught 30 passes for 238 yards and one touchdown.
Trevor Etienne also excels as a kick returner. He returned 28 kicks for 671 yards in his two seasons with the Gators.
The Georgia Bulldogs are set to open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will be televised live by ABC at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
