Jontae Gilbert commits to UGA football for 2025 class
Jontae Gilbert, a four-star defensive back from Douglass High School in Atlanta, Ga., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2025.
Gilbert announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon during a ceremony at his school.

Gilbert (6-1, 185), who was previously committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes, chose the Bulldogs over the NC State Wolfpack.
Gilbert recently commented on the UGA football program following a visit to Athens last month.
“It was great,” Gilbert told UGASports.com. “Getting to get even more time with staff and players, and also commits.
“If you want to play in a system that gets you to the league, come to Georgia.”
In the 247Sports Composite, Jontae Gilbert is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 17 cornerback, and the No. 141 overall recruit in the country for 2025.
Rivals.com also rates Jontae Gilbert as a four-star recruit, the No. 3 safety, and the No. 14 recruit in the state of Georgia.
With the addition of Jontae Gilbert Georgia now has 23 commitments for the class of 2025. UGA’s class is currently ranked third in the 247Sports Team Rankings.
