Georgia announces 2024-25 SEC basketball schedule

The SEC portion of Georgia’s 2024-25 basketball schedule has been officially announced by the conference. The season will be the third under head coach Mike White.

Georgia’s schedule includes five Saturday home contests and five Saturday road contests. Midweek games will be played on either a Tuesday or Wednesday, with the exact dates to be announced later.

The Bulldogs open up SEC play on Saturday, Jan. 4 on the road against the Ole Miss Rebels. Other road SEC games for the Bulldogs include Tennessee (Jan. 14/15), Arkansas (Jan. 21/22), Florida (Jan. 25), Alabama (Feb. 1), Texas A&M (Feb. 11/12), Auburn (Feb. 22), Texas (March 1), and South Carolina (March 4/5).

Conference home games for Georgia at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., include Kentucky (Jan. 7/8), Oklahoma (Jan. 11), Auburn (Jan. 18), South Carolina (Jan. 28/29), LSU (Feb. 4/5), Mississippi State (Feb. 8), Missouri (Feb. 15), Florida (Feb. 25/26), and Vanderbilt (March 8).

A portion of Georgia’s non-conference schedule was released by the school on Tuesday. Those games include at Georgia Tech on Nov. 15, vs. Marquette on Nov. 23 (in the Bahamas), vs. St. John’s on Nov. 24 (in the Bahamas, vs. Notre Dame on Dec. 3, and vs. Grand Canyon on Dec. 14 (in Atlanta).

Georgia is tentatively slated to open the season on Monday, Nov. 4 at home at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, although the game has not yet been officially announced.

Other unannounced non-conference matchups include two games in Athens as part of the Peach State Classic — Texas Southern on Nov. 10 and North Florida on Nov. 12. Georgia is also slated to host Alabama A&M on Nov. 19, Buffalo on Dec. 19 (announced by Buffalo), Charleston Southern on Dec. 22, and South Carolina State on Dec. 29.
