UGA football standouts Carson Beck, Tate Ratledge, and Malaki Starks have each been named to the 2024 Walter Camp Preseason All-America Team, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced on Tuesday.

Walter Camp is the nation’s oldest college football All-America team. The Walter Camp Football Foundation was founded in 1967 to “…perpetuate the ideals of Camp and to continue the tradition of selecting annually an All-America team.”

Carson Beck is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior quarterback from Jacksonville, Fla. In his junior season in Athens, he started all 14 games and led the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record and Orange Bowl victory over Florida State.

Beck completed 302 of 417 passes last season for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also rushed 60 times for 116 yards and four touchdowns.

Tate Ratledge is a 6-foot-6, 310 pound senior offensive lineman from Rome, Ga. Last season, Ratledge started in 13 of 14 games and was named Second Team All-American by the AP, and he was also an AP and Coaches All-SEC First Team selection.

Malaki Starks, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound junior defensive back, is a native of Jefferson, Ga. Starks started in all 14 games for the Bulldogs last season and was named a First Team All-American by the AFCA, AP, CBS, ESPN, FWAA, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, and Walter Camp. He was also named a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award and Jim Thorpe Award and a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award.

The Georgia Bulldogs are set to open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers in the Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game will be televised live by ABC at noon ET (Buy Tickets).
