Massive offensive lineman commits to UGA football for 2024 class
Jahzare Jackson, a 6-foot-11, 330-pound offensive lineman out of IMG Academy, has committed to UGA football for the class of 2024.
2024 class? That’s right, the Bulldogs have added a late piece to their class for this season. Jackson will enroll at UGA soon.
Jackson was a three-star recruit at IMG, but joined Overtime Elite’s basketball academy out of high school. He hasn’t played football since eighth grade, so he will likely redshirt this fall.

“Why UGA? Shoot, I fell in love with the coaches. I fell in love with the school. Players were welcoming when I got there,” Jackson said on Instagram. “I’m still in Georgia, too, at the end of the day. That was a big thing for me still being able to be in Georgia. I just felt like when I got there, it was home for real. All the coaches were cool.”
In the 247Sports Composite, Jahzare Jackson was rated as a three-star recruit and the No. 45 offensive tackle. Rivals.com also rated Jahzare Jackson as a three-star recruit.
Jahzare Jackson is icing on the cake for Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class, which was ranked first in the country in the 247Sports Team Rankings. Jackson is now the 29th member of that class.
