Brock Bowers selected by Las Vegas Raiders in first round of 2024 NFL Draft

Brock Bowers, a 6-foot-3, 243-pound tight end for the Georgia Bulldogs, has been selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft (13th overall).

Brock Bowers helped lead the Georgia Bulldogs to back-to-back College Football Playoff National Championship victories in 2021 and 2022. He was also named the John Mackey Award winner in 2022 and 2023, which is awarded to the nation’s best tight end.

Bowers finished his career in Athens with 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also rushed 19 times for 193 yards and five touchdowns.

A native of Napa, Calif. (Napa High School), Brock Bowers began his career with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2021 and garnered several awards, including All-America First Team (USA Today, ESPN, The Athletic), All-America Second Team (AP), True Freshman All-America (ESPN, The Athletic), Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award, Football Writers Association Freshman of the Year Award, Coaches’ SEC Freshman of the Year, AP SEC Newcomer of the Year, and AP and Coaches’ All-SEC First Team.

The NFL has not released the 2024 schedule yet, but will likely do that the week of May 6. However, the Raiders’ opponents for the 2024 season have been set and can be viewed at the link below:
