Jared Curtis, a five-star quarterback from Nashville, Tenn., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2026.

Curtis, who was recruited to UGA by offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Bobo, announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday.

Head coach Kirby Smart posted his usual response to X, formerly Twitter, upon learning of the news.

Jared Curtis (6-4, 225) currently plays for Nashville Christian School. He committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over offers from most of the top schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.

“My high school’s a shotgun team too, so just like theirs,” Curtis told UGASports.com last year. “We have a couple plays where we’re under center just like them. They do a lot of screen passes and quick slants and stuff which really works and tears up some defenses. Overall, I like it. I like it a lot.”

In the 247Sports Composite, Jared Curtis is rated as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 quarterback, and the No. 9 overall recruit in the country for 2026.

Rivals.com rates Jared Curtis as a four-star recruit, the No. 2 quarterback in the nation, and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Tennessee.

Curtis is the first commitment for Georgia for the class of 2026. With that lone pledge, UGA’s 2026 class is currently ranked second in the 247Sports Team Rankings behind Ohio State.
