Mike Bobo named 2023 Broyles Award finalist

UGA offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Bobo has been named a finalist for the 2023 Broyles Award, the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation announced on Monday.

The Broyles Award is an annual award that is presented to the top assistant coach in college football. The Broyles Award selection process includes the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), broadcasters, a college football hall-of-fame selection committee, and current college head coaches.

Mike Bobo is one of five finalists. The four others include Iowa defensive coordinator/secondary coach Phil Parker, LSU offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Mike Denbrock, Michigan offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Sherrone Moore, and Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein.

The winner of the 2023 Broyles Award will be announced at a ceremony in Little Rock, Ark., on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Georgia is set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2023 SEC Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 2 (Buy Tickets). The contest will kickoff at 4:00pm ET with television coverage via CBS.
