UGA football junior Sedrick Van Pran has been named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Van Pran, who hails from New Orleans, La., earned the weekly SEC honor following his performance on Saturday in Georgia’s 24-14 home victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks. He had five pancake blocks and allowed zero sacks of quarterback Carson Beck while the Bulldogs amassed 189 yards on the ground.
The Bulldogs’ next game is at home against the UAB Blazers on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised by ESPN2 at 7:30pm ET.
